BootsnAll.com is a web-based travel publisher and an online community for independent travelers. Officially, our mission statement is "to cultivate an organic community that encourages independent travel." This is also as close to corporate jargon as we get.

BootsnAll was founded in 1999, and is entirely home-grown. We have no investment capital, flashy offices, or Lexus pool of company cars. We started small, and we grow by building reputation and by building relationships. In essence, BootsnAll is four guys in a garage, who love travel and want to help travelers meet one another and, through travel, enhance their lives.

When Chris Heidrich and Sean Keener founded BootsnAll, they had no idea that their original 6-page site was going to grow into one of the largest, most comprehensive resources for independent travel in the world. Thousands of articles and new members later though, that's what has happened. Not only has the web site grown, but the staff has doubled as well - from 2, to 4, with the addition of Nick O'Neill and Anthony St. Clair in 2000.

The guys work hard to continue building and improving BootsnAll. With the help of our travel community, we are still going strong, a company, resource and community that is here for the long haul, that comes together through our common passion for travel and all that travel brings into our lives
